Parents, today your child heard the story of Thomas. After Jesus’ resurrection, Thomas said he would not believe unless he saw Jesus for himself. When Thomas saw Jesus, he confessed that Jesus was Lord!
Our Daily Bible Reading today highlights the command to love. It is not always easy, and some people may seem more difficult, but no matter the circumstances we need to do what we are called to do. Love anyways.
Don Carson gives us a deeper perspective of Thomas as he explains John 20 further. “Jesus here casts his shadow forward down the meadows of history, envisaging the countless millions who will trust him without ever having seen him in the flesh, without ever having traced out the scars on his hands, feet, and side. Their faith is not inferior. Indeed, in the peculiar providence of God, the report of Thomas’s experience is one of the things the Spirit of God will use to bring them to faith.” https://www.thegospelcoalition.org/blogs/d-a-carson/leviticus-1-john-20-proverbs-17-philippians-4/
The Bible often depicts us as sheep. Left to ourselves, we wander off and place ourselves in harm’s way. We can’t find our way back. The Bible also depicts God as the Shepherd over us.

What an amazing fact our Unit Verse points out this month. Take a walk outside today as a family and learn it together. Talk with your child about what resurrection means for everyone.
