1s & 2s— Paint Handprints
Bible Story: Joseph Interpreted Pharaoh’s Dream Genesis 39:21–41:36
Life Point: God can do all things.
Weekly Verse: I am your God. Psalm 50:7
Materials: paper, washable paint, large pan, marker, painting smock
- Pour some paint into the pan. Help a preschooler put on a painting smock.
- Help a child place her hand in the paint, then press it onto the paper. Print her name on her paper. Assist in washing her hands.
- Briefly tell the Bible story. Offer to print the Weekly Verse on each child’s paper.
3–Pre-K— Stamp Circles

Weekly Verse: I am your God. Psalm 50:7
Materials: Teaching Picture 8, washable paint, aluminum pans, painting smocks, various circle-shaped objects, paper
- Print the Life Point at the top of each paper. Pour the paint into the pie pans. Give each child a smock and a piece of paper. Guide children to press circle shapes into the paint and onto their papers.
- Point to and read the words of the Life Point to each child. Comment that God helped Joseph know what Pharaoh’s dreams meant.
- Tell the Bible story. Show the Teaching Picture and encourage a child to point to Joseph.
Kindergarten— Taste Bread and Butter
Bible Story: Joseph Interpreted Pharaoh’s Dream Genesis 39:21–41:36
Life Point: God can do all things.
Weekly Verse: I am your God. Psalm 50:7
Materials: Bible, Allergy Alert, bread, soft butter, small paper plates, plastic knives
- Post the allergy alert near the door to your room. Encourage kids to wash their hands before participating in this activity.
- Give each child a piece of bread and allow him to spread a small amount of butter on his bread.
- As kindergartners enjoy their snack, open the Bible and tell the Bible story. Comment that God helped Joseph know about Pharaoh’s dream. Explain that God can do all things.
- Lead the kids to repeat the Weekly Verse together.
